Kunsthaus Bregenz is celebrating its 25th anniversary with an exhibition in Venice. Two artists who are also being exhibited in Bregenz during 2022, are presenting works at the Scuola di San Pasquale on Campo San Francesco that have been especially conceived for the space.
In their installations, both Otobong Nkanga and Anna Boghiguian address such current issues as our responsibilities as a society for life on Earth and its climate.
For the entrance area of the Scuola Otobong Nkanga has designed the multicolored monumental tapestry Tied to the Other Side and a new sound work. Anna Boghiguian has created an oversized chess game for the upper floor of the Scuola. Addressing literature, history, and political conflicts, it‘s a “parable” of inequality, a metaphor for good and evil.
During the first days of the exhibition KUB Director Thomas D. Trummer will be talking to selected guests from the art world in a series of artist’s talks.

La Kunsthaus Bregenz celebra il suo 25° anniversario con una mostra a Venezia. Due artisti, anch’essi in esposizione a Bregenz nel 2022, presentano alla Scuola di San Pasquale in Campo San Francesco opere pensate appositamente per lo spazio.
Nelle loro installazioni, sia Otobong Nkanga che Anna Boghiguian affrontano questioni attuali come le nostre responsabilità come società per la vita sulla Terra e il suo clima.
Per l’area d’ingresso della Scuola Otobong Nkanga ha progettato il monumentale arazzo multicolore Tied to the Other Side e una nuova opera sonora. Anna Boghiguian ha realizzato una partita a scacchi di grandi dimensioni per il piano superiore della Scuola. Affrontando letteratura, storia e conflitti politici, è una “parabola” della disuguaglianza, una metafora del bene e del male.
Durante i primi giorni della mostra, il direttore del KUB Thomas D. Trummer parlerà con ospiti selezionati del mondo dell’arte in una serie di talk d’artista.
